Breath is the closest thing to us. It is our source of survival. Hence utilizing it to its potential in meditation gives us unimaginable benefits. With the right techniques and guidance in regular meditation one can get closer to their true self, heal themselves, and enhance the levels their body and mind. The breathing techniques (pranayama) and meditation techniques align the mind, body and inner world as one. The experience is more important then the words.
